Chocolate-orange croissants

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 orange(s), untreated
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 200 g flour
  • 60 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Cinnamon
  • 125 g butter flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

for approx. 40 croissants

Blanch the orange in hot water, then finely grate it. Chop the chocolate with a broad knife. Place the ingredients in a bowl and add the butter in flakes. Mix using the dough hook of a hand mixer. Then shape the dough into a ball and wrap it in aluminum foil. Refrigerate this for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Shape the dough into croissants and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake the croissants in the hot oven for approx. 17-20 minutes. Note from the Chefkoch.de recipe editor: If you don’t want to use aluminum foil, parchment paper or baking paper is best. Aluminum foil with baking paper on the side closest to the food has also been available for some time, and this is also recommended.
