Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 500 g dark chocolate coating
- 400 g butter
- 10 eggs
- 70 g sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour
Melt 500g dark chocolate coating/chocolate with 400g butter in a double boiler. Mix 70g sugar and 10 eggs thoroughly (don’t separate them or anything), and stir in the slightly cooled chocolate mixture. I pour the whole thing into a springform pan, so you can remove the rim afterward, because this cake can’t be transported directly! Bake at approximately 180°C (350°F) (approx. 30-40 minutes) with the door open (clamp a wooden spoon between the pans, or, if you have a door like me instead of a lid, open and close it again! As soon as the cake tries to rise, open the door, then close it again to bring it back up to temperature). I hope I made myself clear; I’m not much of a baker. But this “cake” has already led many guests to chocolate bliss. I usually serve it with whipped cream or vanilla sauce (melted vanilla ice cream works instead!).
