Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 100 g butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- 80 g cherry(s), fresh
- 3 eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 2 tbsp cherry liqueur
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 g flour
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 55 minutes
Wash, pit, and chop the cherries, mix with the liqueur, and let it sit for about 1 hour. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and melt. Add the butter and let it melt in the warm chocolate. Drain the cherries well and collect the liqueur. Beat the eggs with the sugar, salt, cherry liqueur, and salt until fluffy. Stir the chocolate-butter mixture into the egg mixture. Sift the flour over the cherries and fold in loosely with the cherries. Pour the batter into 6 small, greased and dusted tins (150 ml capacity). Bake the tarts in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20-25 minutes. Dust the pastries with icing sugar. One serving of 6 tarts has 436 kcal. Tip: My chocolate tarts were ready after just 20 minutes. Don’t bake them for too long, or they’ll tend to be *dry*. If children are eating with you, replace the liqueur with cherry juice. If you don’t like it too sweet, you can also reduce the sugar; I used 125 g.
