Chocolate-walnut muffins

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 170 g butter, soft
  • 140 g chocolate, whole milk
  • 200 g sugar
  • 50 g sugar, brown
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ bottle of butter-vanilla flavoring
  • some bitter almond flavor
  • 110 g flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 120 g walnuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat oven to 160°C and grease a muffin tin thoroughly or line it with paper baking cups. Melt the butter and chocolate in a double boiler and transfer to a bowl. Stir the sugar into the chocolate butter, then stir in the flavorings and eggs one at a time. Combine the flour and cocoa powder and stir into the buttercream. Carefully fold in the walnuts. Pour the batter into the muffin tins and bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
