Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 120 g butter, soft
  • 70 g sugar
  • 30 g sugar, brown
  • 2 eggs
  • 220 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 125 ml milk
  • 170 g chocolate, in pieces

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat oven to 175°C and grease a muffin tin thoroughly or line it with paper baking cups. Cream the butter and sugar together, then beat in the eggs one at a time. Combine the flour and baking powder and stir into the buttercream, alternating with the milk. Fill the muffins about halfway with the batter, then scatter the chocolate chips on top and fill with the remaining batter. Bake the muffins in the oven until golden brown.
