Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Cut the meat into thin strips or small cubes. Mix the above ingredients together to make a marinade. If necessary, add a little more soy sauce or water. The starch will cause it to thicken very quickly! Mix the meat into the marinade and set aside. Slice the leeks and carrots, and thinly slice the bell peppers. Drain the bamboo shoots. Prepare the sauce from the above ingredients. If you like a lot of sauce, feel free to increase the amount. If you like it spicier, add more sambal. Heat a little oil in a wok and fry the meat all over. Remove from the wok and set aside. Then fry the vegetables. First add the carrots, then the bell peppers. Finally, add the leeks and bamboo shoots. Add the meat and top up with the sauce. Simmer briefly—not too long, as the vegetables should remain firm to the bite. Serve with rice. You can vary the vegetables according to your taste. Be careful with the soy sauce, some sauces are very salty, so leave out the extra salt or use less soy sauce.
