Chopped beans with turkey strips

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g beans, fresh, e.g. bush beans, cleaned and chopped into pieces
  • 2 liters of salt water
  • 2 tsp savory
  • 400 g turkey strips
  • 2 small onions, cut into rings
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 tbsp, heaped tomato paste
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 2 tbsp processed cheese
  • 1 shot of dry white wine
  • 100 g peanuts, unsalted, roasted
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. curry powder
  • 3 dashes of soy sauce
  • n. B. Nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cook the string beans in salted water with 2 teaspoons of savory for 10-15 minutes until tender. Drain the liquid, reserving 100 ml. Brown the onions, garlic, and turkey strips all over. Stir in the tomato paste and season with salt, pepper, and curry powder. Add the cream and cheese, bring to a boil briefly, and mix with the beans. Season to taste with soy sauce, wine, and nutmeg. Meanwhile, toast the peanuts in a non-stick pan over moderate heat until golden brown. Finally, scatter them over the bean dish.
