Chops with pears

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 pear(s), firm ripe
  • 4 pork chops
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • 40 g margarine
  • Salt
  • ⅛ liter white wine
  • ⅛ liter cream
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 bunch of parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the pears, halve them, and core them. Season the chops with pepper. Heat margarine in a pan and sear the meat for one minute on each side. Season with salt. Place a pear half on each chop. Pour in the white wine and whipped cream. Close the pan and braise for 20 minutes. Place the chops and pear on a preheated platter. Thicken the braising liquid with cornstarch and pour it over each portion. Garnish with parsley.
