Christmas duck breast made quickly

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 duck breasts (300 g each)
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 5 cl orange juice
  • 5 cl red wine
  • salt and pepper
  • Water
  • 30 g sauce thickener

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Season the duck breasts and sear on both sides. Add tomato paste and sear until nicely browned. Deglaze with orange juice and red wine, then add water. Roast in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes. Then remove the duck breasts, season the stock, and thicken slightly. Serve with apple-flavored red cabbage and boiled potatoes.
