Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 ml buttermilk
  • 160 g flour
  • 30 g cocoa
  • 1 ½ tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 tsp, leveled gingerbread spice
  • ½ pack of orange peel
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 200 g cream
  • 1 pack of cream stiffener
  • 1 tsp, smothered cinnamon
  • 5 tbsp, heaped powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Cream the softened butter with the powdered sugar until creamy, then stir in the egg and buttermilk. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and gingerbread spice and quickly fold in. Using a piping bag without a nozzle, pipe 30 portions onto the baking sheet, spacing them 4 cm apart. Bake at 160°C on the middle rack for 15 minutes. Then let cool. In the meantime, whip the cream with the cream stiffener. Add the vanilla sugar, orange zest, and cinnamon and whip until stiff. Using a piping bag with a nozzle, pipe the cream onto the bottoms of 15 whoopie biscuits. Place the remaining halves on top as lids. Dust the whoopie biscuits with powdered sugar.
