Turkish specialty (Sigara Börek)
First of all: These are the delicious filled dough rolls that look like cigars. They are eaten warm as a main meal, preferably with salad. They also taste great cold, making them ideal to take to school or similar. Children will probably gobble up 5-7 böreks at a time, while hungry adults should have around 8-10. Cut the yufka sheets in half lengthwise. Instead of the original 10 sheets, this will now produce 20 pointed triangles in the shape of school cones. Moisten each sheet of dough a little with water with your fingers to help the dough stick together. Finely chop the parsley and knead it well with the feta cheese. Place a walnut-sized heap of this mixture at the widest point of each dough triangle and roll the dough up tightly from the wide side up to the tip. Press the tip firmly with wet fingers. Fry all the böreks in a pan with plenty of oil for about 7-8 minutes until golden brown, turning several times.
