Cinnamon Balls

The perfect cinnamon balls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Protein
  • 250 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 300 g Ground hazelnuts
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 50 Hazelnuts
  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Slowly pour in the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar and keep beating continuously. Set aside about four tablespoons of the egg whites. Now fold the cinnamon and the ground hazelnuts into the rest of the egg white mixture.
  2. Shape the mixture into walnut-sized balls with wet hands. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and make a small dent with a wooden spoon handle.
  3. Brush the balls with the remaining egg whites and place a hazelnut each in the recess. Place in the oven preheated to 100 degrees (convection) and bake for approx. 25-30 minutes. Let the baked balls cool down on a cake rack.
