Cinnamon waffles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 120 g butter, soft
  • 170 ml milk
  • 200 g flour
  • 130 g brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cinnamon waffles

Preheat the waffle iron. Beat the softened butter, eggs, and sugar until fluffy. Add the flour a spoonful at a time and mix until a stiff dough forms, then add the cinnamon. I always use 2 tablespoons, as we really like the taste of cinnamon, so use to taste. Next, add the milk until a creamy, runny batter forms. Whisk the batter for at least 5 minutes. Then, bake the waffles. They taste great with hot cherries, whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream, or just on their own.
