Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 150 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 75 g desiccated coconut
  • 50 g oat flakes
  • 2 tbsp condensed milk

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Mix the butter with the egg and 125g of sugar. Mix in the flour, baking powder, 50g of coconut flakes, and oats. Cover and chill the dough for 1-2 hours. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with baking paper. Mix the remaining coconut flakes and 25g of sugar. Form the dough into walnut-sized mounds, brush the tops with canned milk, and lightly press into the coconut-sugar mixture. Place on the baking sheet. Bake on the middle rack for about 15 minutes (10 minutes may be sufficient depending on the oven). Let cool and store in an airtight container.
