Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g brown cane sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. clove powder
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g rock sugar, chopped
  • 125 g almond(s), sliced
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 125 g cake icing, dark

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cream the butter until fluffy, then gradually add the sugar, eggs, and spices. Stir in the flour mixed with the baking powder, a tablespoon at a time. Finally, stir in the melted dark chocolate (simply melt it slowly in the microwave), Grummel (chopped rock candy), and almonds. Spread the batter onto a large, greased or lined baking sheet with high sides. Bake in a preheated oven at approximately 200°C (175°C fan-assisted) for 15 to 20 minutes. Once cooled, spread the melted glaze over the cake and, once dry, cut into bite-sized pieces or triangles.
