  • 2 egg whites
  • 180 g sugar
  • 15 g instant coffee powder
  • 1 pinch of cardamom
  • 20 g cornstarch
  • 300 g hazelnuts, ground or ground almonds
  • 3 tbsp liqueur (mocha liqueur) or cream as a non-alcoholic alternative
  • 100 g white chocolate coating
  • 1 pack of mocha beans (chocolate decoration)

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Beat the egg whites until stiff and slowly add the sugar. Then, using a wooden spoon, lightly fold in all the remaining ingredients—except the chocolate coating and the mocha beans. Form the mixture into balls using 2 teaspoons and place them on a prepared baking sheet. Bake the balls in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) or 160°C (fan oven) on the second rack from the bottom for about 15 minutes. Once cooled, cover the cookies with the white chocolate coating and decorate with the mocha beans.
