Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 375 g flour
  • 3 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 200 g margarine
  • 1 egg(s) for brushing
  • 75 g sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Sift the flour into a mixing bowl. Add the vanilla sugar, crème fraîche, and margarine; knead everything into a smooth dough. If it’s sticky, wrap it in cling film and chill for a while. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 cm thick and cut into any shape you like, such as squares or triangles. To coat, beat the egg and brush the dough pieces with it. Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes. Transfer the pastry, still on the baking paper, to a wire rack and allow to cool.
