Ingredients for 15 servings:

  • 1 head of white cabbage
  • 2 jars of tomato peppers with liquid
  • 3 large onions
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 2 bottles of mineral water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 days 12 hours; Total time approx. 2 days 12 hours 15 minutes

must be prepared 3 days in advance

Chop the white cabbage quite finely (I put it all through the food processor). Mix the diced onions and diced tomatoes and peppers (the juice from the jar also needs to go into the salad) with the white cabbage. Simply pour over the salt, sugar, and oil. Then fill with mineral water; it should cover everything. Put the lid on and let it stand somewhere cool for 2 to 3 days. Then either strain it through a sieve or remove it from the liquid with a slotted spoon. It’s always delicious, and because you can prepare the salad so early, you have time for other things.
