Coleslaw and Gyros Casserole

The perfect coleslaw and gyros casserole recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 8 piece Waxy potatoes
  • 2 piece Onions
  • 2 Toes Fresh garlic
  • 500 g Gyros ready seasoned
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 500 g Coleslaw
  • 200 g Yogurt 10% fat
  • 200 g Feta
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • Fresh oregano
  • Coarse salt
  1. Do not cook the peeled potatoes until tender and let them cool down.
  2. Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic.
  3. Heat the oil in the pan and fry the gyros (TK vonLidel). Fry the onions and garlic briefly.
  4. Drain the coleslaw, layer in a greased baking dish. Spread the yoghurt over it and spread the fried gyros on top.
  5. Roughly grate the potatoes, crumble the feta cheese and mix with the potatoes. Season with salt, pepper and oregano and spread this mixture over the meat.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and bake the casserole for about 40 minutes.
  7. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the step “Spread the gyros on the yoghurt”! ;O(((
