Colorful Indian Rice
The perfect colorful indian rice recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Cup Basmati rice, washed
- 1,5 Cup Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Sugar
- 1 Pc. Indian bay leaf
- 2 Pc. Cloves
- 2 Pc. Cardamom
- 1 tsp Herb butter
- 200 g Buttered vegetables
- Put the rice in a microwave bowl and soak it in the water.
- Then add the butter vegetables and herb butter.
- Stir in salt, sugar, cardamom, Indian bay leaf and cloves.
- Cook in the microwave at approx. 800 watts for 10 minutes. Stir it from time to time and be careful not to overflow.
- Let the rice swell completely, drain off the remaining water and let it stand briefly.
- It tastes good with meat curries as a side dish.
