Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 kg medlars (unpeeled approx. 3 kg)
- 1 kg sugar
- 1 liter apple juice
- 1 liter of water
- 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 minute; Total time approx. 1 hour 1 minute
Peel and core the medlars. Then place them in a bowl of lemon water to prevent oxidation. After peeling, boil all the medlars in a mixture of water, apple juice, sugar, vanilla sugar, and the cinnamon stick for 1 minute. Then pour the mixture into prepared jars and pour over the liquid. Quickly close and turn upside down.
