Cookies with milk caramel filling

Ingredients for 70 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g butter
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 can/n milk jam

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 6 hours; Total time approx. 1 day 7 hours 30 minutes

Alfajores from Peru

Knead into a dough that doesn’t stick to your hands and chill for at least 30 minutes. Roll out in batches; the dough should be no more than 4-5 mm thick. Cut out round cookies and place them on a greased baking sheet. Bake at medium heat until light brown. When the cookies are cool, spread one cookie with caramel jam and place a second cookie on top. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
