Cooking millet – Here’s how
To prepare the grain you only need 1 cup of millet, 2 cups of water, and some salt.
- First, put the millet in a sieve and rinse it thoroughly under hot water.
- Now fill a pot with water and then add the millet.
- Also, add a pinch of salt.
- Now cover the pot with a lid and wait until the water starts to boil.
- Once it boils, you can take the lid off and let the millet simmer over low heat for about five minutes.
- Then the grain has to swell for about 20 to 30 minutes with the stove switched off.
