Cooking: Pork Goulash with Mushrooms

  • 1,5 Kg Pork shoulder
  • 750 g Onions
  • 1 bottle Red wine
  • 800 ml Veal stock
  • 5 Allspice grains
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 El Dried marjoram
  • 1 branch Oregano
  • 2 El Sweet paprika
  • 1 Tl Caraway seeds
  • Salt and pepper
  • 250 g Cooked mushrooms
  • 1 small can Tomato paste
  • 3 toes Fresh garlic
  1. I still had some leftover mushrooms that I had to use up.
  2. Cut the meat into pieces and fry in a little hot oil. Cut the onion and garlic into slices.
  3. When the meat is light brown, add the tomato paste and sauté the onions and garlic briefly and deglaze with the red wine. Now add the spices, salt and pepper and let the red wine boil down completely.
  4. When the wine is completely gone, fill up the stock and add the mushrooms, now let the goulash simmer on a low flame for about 2 hours.
