Cooking: Spicy Meatballs with Vegetable Sauce
The perfect cooking: spicy meatballs with vegetable sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
* for the meatballs
- 250 g Mixed minced meat
- 0,25 Bun
- 1 Egg
- 0,5 bunch Spring onions fresh
- 1 tbsp Paprika pulp (Ajvar)
* for the vegetable sauce
- 0,5 Eggplant fresh
- 1 Fresh onion
- 1 Red pointed peppers
- 3 Pointed peppers green
- 0,5 Can Chopped tomatoes
* for both
- Crushed red pepper
- Salt
- Oil
- First prepare the sauce. To do this, wash the aubergine and cut into small pieces. Peel the onion and chop or cut into small pieces. Peel the peppers, remove the seeds and the membranes and cut them into small pieces.
- Heat the oil in a small saucepan and sauté the onion until translucent. then add the eggplant. Cook with the lid closed for 3-5 minutes over medium heat. Then add the peppers and cook for another 5 minutes. Finally add the tomatoes.
- Let the lid simmer gently for about 15 minutes over a low heat. Then season and simmer gently for at least 30 minutes (better longer). Then season to taste.
- For the meatballs, soak the roll in water, then squeeze it out. Clean the spring onions and cut into half rings.
- Knead all ingredients together. Then shape 4-6 meatballs out of it.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the meatballs on both sides.
- Put the meatballs and sauce with any side dish (butter rice with us) on 2 plates and serve.
