Couscous with spicy sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 125 ml water
  • 125 g couscous
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 jar tomato sauce (All Arrabiata)

Recipe from a 72-year-old friend

Dice the onion and tomatoes and briefly fry them in a saucepan over medium heat. Add 1/8 liter of water and bring to a boil with 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Remove the pan from the heat. Carefully stir in 125g of couscous. Let it swell for 2 minutes. Stir in 1-2 hazelnut-sized pieces of butter and cook over low heat for about 3 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Serve with the spicy Arrabiata sauce.
