Cranberry sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ⅛ liter red wine (e.g. Cabernet Sauvignon or Chianti)
  • 100 g cane sugar
  • ¼ stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 340 g cranberries, fresh or frozen

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Bring the wine to a boil with the sugar and cinnamon stick, then simmer gently. Add the washed and sorted cranberries, bring to a boil, and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Then remove the cinnamon stick. Can be enjoyed hot or cold. It becomes quite thick and jelly-like. I serve this cranberry sauce with duck breast à ma façon, pumpkin and sweet potato puree, and dumplings.
