Cranberry sorbet

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • ½ orange(s), untreated
  • 150 ml cranberry juice
  • 40 g powdered sugar
  • 75 g cranberries, fresh or frozen

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Wash the orange in hot water and dry it. Grate 2 tablespoons of the zest and squeeze out the juice. Bring the cranberry juice and sugar to a boil over low heat, stirring. Let it simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, stir in the cranberries, orange juice, and orange zest, and let it cool. Transfer the mixture to a cold-resistant bowl and place it in the freezer. After about 1 hour, stir the mixture thoroughly and return it to the freezer. Repeat this process 2-3 times. Remove the sorbet from the freezer about 15 minutes before serving and serve in well-chilled glasses.
