Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 kg orache (garden orache)
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • n. B. garlic
  • 50 g bacon, fat, diced
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 100 ml milk
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 50 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash and trim the orache, chop finely, and blanch in salted water for 5 minutes. Drain and let it drain. Heat butter in a pan and sauté the onions. If you like, you can also sauté a chopped garlic clove. Then add the orache and toss briefly. Dust with flour, sauté, and then deglaze with the cream and milk. Fry the bacon in another pan, then add it and simmer until the orache is nice and soft. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
