Creamy Leek and Pea Vegetables

The perfect creamy leek and pea vegetables recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Leek
  • 300 g Frozen peas
  • 50 g Butter
  • 100 g Creme fraiche Cheese
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1,5 tsp Sea-Salt
  • 0,5 tsp Wheat flour (type 405)
  1. Remove the root and the outermost leaf from the leek. Then cut the leek lengthways, wash thoroughly and cut into fine rings.
  2. Place a saucepan on the hob over a higher heat and add the butter. As soon as this has melted, add the leek along with the flour and sweat for three minutes. The leek or flour shouldn’t take color. Then add the frozen peas, sugar, salt and the crème fraîche to the saucepan, stir well and cook over medium heat with the lid closed for ten minutes.
  3. A delicious side dish that goes well with fried fish or meat.
