Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 500 g pasta
- 5 eggs
- 325 g meat sausage
- 1 jar of pickled gherkins, approx. 330 g
- 500 ml mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1 jar cucumber water, approx. 125 ml
- ½ tsp salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 25 minutes
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions and the eggs for about 10 minutes. In the meantime, dice the sausage and cucumbers. Drain the pasta and drizzle with a little of the cucumber juice to prevent it from sticking together. When the eggs have cooled, dice them too. For the sauce, put the mayonnaise in a bowl and pour in the remaining cucumber juice. Add the mustard, salt, and pepper and mix everything together. Season to taste. Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and pour the sauce over it. Mix everything together and let it sit uncovered for about 2-3 hours. Mix again, and then put the lid back on the bowl. Mix again and season to taste before serving.
