Crispy pesto with sesame

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 tbsp, heaped sesame seeds
  • 25 g basil leaves, equivalent to about 1/2 bunch
  • 50 g Pecorino, grated
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Toast the sesame seeds in a pan without fat. Be careful not to let them get too brown, or they’ll become bitter! Grate the pecorino, finely chop the basil, and crush the garlic. Mix well with the olive oil and lemon juice. Gently press in. Finally, stir in the cooled sesame seeds; you want them to stay crispy. Goes well with spaghetti. I also like this pesto with baked potatoes.
