Crispy potato slices in garlic oil

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g potatoes, mainly waxy
  • a little oil (garlic oil)
  • some salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

low-calorie version of fries

Preheat the oven to 240°C (fan oven). Peel the potatoes and cut into 5–10 mm thick slices. The slices should be as evenly thick as possible, otherwise the thin ones will burn and the thick ones won’t cook. Mix the potato slices with the oil and salt in a bowl. Place everything on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, ensuring the slices are not touching. Place in the oven and cook for 20 minutes, until the slices are nicely browned. Serve hot with dip or roasted vegetables or meat. This is a low-calorie version of fries that’s also quite filling.
