Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slice(s) bread(s), (country bread)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 bunch parsley, flat
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • 2 avocados
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius (482 degrees Fahrenheit). Toast the bread slices on the top rack of the oven for 10 minutes. In the meantime, peel and finely chop the garlic. Wash the parsley and basil, shake dry, and roughly chop. Puree the garlic and herbs with olive oil, season with salt and pepper. Halve, pit, and peel the avocados. Dice the flesh and immediately drizzle with lemon juice. Spread the herb puree over the toasted bread slices. Arrange the avocado cubes on top, coarsely grind the pepper over the top, and serve.
