Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 slice(s) baguette(s) or other white bread
  • 1 slice(s) of cheese the size of the slice of bread
  • 1 tomato(s), dried in oil
  • some oil or liquid from the tomatoes
  • n. B. almond flakes, approx. 1 tsp

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 13 minutes

As a starter, snack, with beer or as a side dish, e.g. with soup

Drizzle the bread slices with oil, or perhaps with the pickling liquid from the sun-dried tomatoes. Cut the sun-dried tomatoes (about 1 for each baguette slice) into strips and arrange them on the bread slice. Sprinkle with flaked almonds. Place the cheese slice on top, sprinkle with another layer of flaked almonds, and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C until the cheese is melted and lightly browned. If desired, briefly grill. Serve warm as a side dish, e.g., with salad or soup, even with cold summer soups, or as a snack with beer or wine.
