Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 slices of toast (crust removed if necessary)
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

as a soup garnish or to sprinkle over salads

Finely dice the toast. Melt the butter over low heat, then stir in the bread. Spread it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (125°C fan oven) until golden brown (approx. 15 minutes). If desired, you can also use garlic or herb butter; this will reduce the baking time by about 5 minutes. This serves 4 people as a soup garnish or on a salad.
