Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 cup(s) flour
  • ½ egg(s)
  • 3 slices of white bread
  • e.g. Gouda, grated
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • Butter for baking

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Soup garnish

Beat egg yolks with milk. Dip the diced white bread slices into the egg mixture. Roll them in breadcrumbs mixed with cheese. Fry in melted butter until light brown and use in thickened soups.
