Croutons

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 slice(s) of toast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove(s) garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Bread cubes e.g. as a soup garnish

Press the garlic and set aside. Cut the bread into small cubes. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the garlic. Add the bread and toast, turning occasionally, until it turns a golden yellow. Remove the bread from the pan and dry it on a paper towel. Let it cool completely. The croutons go well with soups. I serve them with, among other things, the “Excellent Wild Garlic Soup” or “Tomato Soup with Yogurt” (see my recipes).
