Cucumber-Basil Smoothie

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large cucumber(s)
  • 1 large garlic clove(s)
  • some basil leaves
  • 500 g sour milk
  • 12 tbsp ice, crushed
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Peel the cucumber, halve it lengthwise, remove the seeds, and roughly chop the flesh. Peel and crush the garlic. Puree both with the basil and sour cream in a blender, stir in ice, and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Chill the smoothie for about 1 hour, then pour into 4 glasses and serve with rolled cucumber skin and basil, if desired.
