Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 100 g butter or margarine, soft
- 200 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 350 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 lemon peel, grated
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder or chocolate chips, as desired

Beat the softened butter or margarine until peaks form. Add the sugar and eggs and mix. Then add the flour, baking powder, and milk alternately. Finally, add the lemon zest and cocoa powder/chocolate chips. If you like, you can also add raisins. Pour the batter into a greased Bundt pan and bake in the center of an oven preheated to 180°C for 45-60 minutes (use a toothpick to check if the cake is done). If you bake the cake in a springform pan, reduce the baking time by about 15 minutes. If you like your cake moist, add morello cherries from a jar to the batter. Drain them well and fold them in at the end. This makes the cake beautifully fruity and moist.
