Cucumber salad with herbs and crème fraîche

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche (herbs)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 bunch of dill

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the cucumber, slice it thinly, season with salt, and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes. In the meantime, finely dice the garlic cloves and crush them with a flat knife. Wash and finely chop the dill. Pour both ingredients over the cucumber salad along with the herb crème fraîche and freshly ground pepper, mix well, let it stand for a few more minutes, and season again with salt and pepper if desired. The cucumber salad goes particularly well with braised dishes – we like to serve it with mixed goulash with spiral noodles, added directly to the gravy and spooned over. It sounds strange, but it tastes really delicious! Tip: Instead of fresh garlic or fresh dill, you can also use garlic salt or dried dill. If you don’t like dill, you can also prepare the salad with chives.
