Cucumber sandwich

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 12 slices of toast
  • Butter, salted
  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 1 box of cress
  • Pepper, black from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Wash and peel the cucumber, butter the toast. Cut the cucumber into very thin strips across its entire width. Place the cucumber slices on the toast, sprinkle with some cress, and season with pepper. Place a second slice of toast on top, top with another slice of cucumber, and season with cress and pepper. Place the buttered slice of toast on top. Trim off the edges and cut the bread into small diamonds or rectangles. This includes 5 o’clock tea and no wine for once.
