Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 large cucumber(s)
  • butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard (Dijon mustard)
  • 1 tbsp crème fraîche or sour cream
  • ½ bunch dill, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 shot of balsamic vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Delicious side dish to fish dishes

Peel the cucumber, halve it lengthwise, and remove the core. Then slice it. Melt a knob of butter in a saucepan, add the sugar, and let it caramelize briefly. Add the cucumbers, season with salt and pepper, and deglaze with a generous dash of balsamic vinegar. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in the mustard, crème fraîche, and dill and serve. Delicious with fish dishes.
