Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g quark (cottage cheese), low-fat or 20%
  • 500 g cheese, grated Emmental
  • ½ tsp, leveled salt
  • ½ tsp, levelled black pepper
  • 2 tsp, leveled caraway seeds (can also be omitted)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

For snacks (quark)

Squeeze the curd cheese into a cloth, grate the cheese, and mix all ingredients thoroughly. Form small, flat loaves. Place the loaves on a wooden board lined with wax paper or baking paper. Let them dry in a dry place for about a week. Turn them daily. The cheese loaves are delicious with buttered bread.
