Curd soap was already highly valued by grandma as a versatile household remedy – but has been somewhat forgotten in recent years. But what can the smart universal helper really do? We reveal five areas of application for beauty and household.

What actually is curd soap?

In the production of so-called fine soaps, soapy water is added, among other things, artificial colors and fragrances: a step that is missing with curd soap. This is how the natural product, once made from animal fats and now also from plant-based alternatives, has become the ideal home remedy for allergy sufferers and people with intolerances.

Salt is added to curd soap instead when it is made. So the mass is firmer – just heartier. As a result, the end product is more stable and lasts longer, and at the same time has incomparable cleaning power.

Important: Curd soap comes, unlike e.g. Bath bombs, for example, are made without perfume or dyes – but they also lack care additives such as fats or moisturizers. Always pamper dry skin in particular with nourishing cosmetics after using curd soap as hair or skin care. This keeps the tissue healthy.

Use curd soap for hair: This is how it works

Do you suffer from greasy hair? Curd soap removes excess sebum and fat extremely thoroughly. Simply rub into the wet mane, lather up with your fingers, wash out – done.

Use curd soap for impure skin: tips

Are you struggling with pimples? Clean your complexion with curd soap every now and then. Simply moisten the product, spread the foam in your hands, massage into the skin of your face, and rinse off. Instead of using your hands, you can wash your face with a knitted dishcloth made from virgin cotton yarn, perfect as a gentle washcloth. Afterward, treat the skin with a moisturizing cream or high-quality natural oil, such as jojoba oil.

Curd soap for foot care: the remedy against calluses

Dissolve curd soap flakes in warm water and enjoy this foot bath for about ten minutes once a week. The strong natural product softens even stubborn calluses without any problems.
