Currant drink

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • 1 jar currants, red or black
  • ½ jar sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Remove the stems from the currants, wash them, and then puree them. Bring the water and sugar to a boil, add the currants, and bring back to a boil. Strain everything, ideally first through a coarse sieve and then through a fine one. Chill, and you have a delicious refreshing drink. Tip: For larger quantities of berries, I use only half the amount of water (due to space constraints) and pour it into clean bottles while still hot, so it will keep for a long time. Afterward, you just need to dilute the contents of the bottle 1:1 with water.
