Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 5 Bockwurst
  • 3 Pepper, fresh, medium hot
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 700 ml cola
  • 500 ml tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tbsp honey, optional
  • e.g. tomato paste
  • curry powder
  • Salt
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Reduce the cola in a saucepan to about 1/3. Meanwhile, finely dice the onion and garlic, deseed the bell peppers and slice them into thin rings. Then add the chopped ingredients to a hot pan with a little oil and fry briefly. Add about 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, fry briefly, and then deglaze everything with the passata. Be careful, remove the pan from the heat first, otherwise you’ll have to do a lot of cleaning! Add the cola and reduce the sauce for about 7-10 minutes, ideally until it covers everything within a 50 cm radius. Season to taste with salt, more tomato paste, curry powder, and honey if desired. While the sauce is cooking, fry the sausages in the pan. French fries are a classic accompaniment.
