Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 600 g white cabbage, cleaned, quartered, sliced into fine strips
- 2 tbsp cracklings
- 1 onion(s), finely chopped
- 125 ml water
- 125 ml vinegar
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp, levelled sugar
- salt and pepper
- some caraway
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 40 minutes
Heat the lard in a saucepan and sauté the white cabbage for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a bowl. Make a marinade from the remaining ingredients and pour it over the cabbage. Stir thoroughly and let it marinate in the refrigerator for a day.
