Dad's bacon beans with potatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 can green beans (snap beans)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 125 g bacon, white
  • some butter
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • some water to mix
  • 400 g potatoes
  • some sugar
  • some vinegar
  • salt and pepper
  • salt water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel and quarter the potatoes, and boil in salted water for about 20 minutes until tender. Meanwhile, finely dice the onions and bacon and fry in the butter. Then add the drained beans and bring to a boil with 200 ml of water. Season to taste with sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper and continue to simmer. Combine the flour with a little water in a shaker and add to the beans to thicken slightly. Drain the potatoes and serve with the beans as a meal.
