Spread the love

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 150 g butter
  • 70 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 jar applesauce
  • 2 tbsp almonds, chopped
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting
  • Fat for the molds

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Make a dough from flour, butter, powdered sugar, and egg yolk and chill for at least 1 hour. Roll out 2/3 of the dough thinly, cut out eight circles, and line greased tartlet pans. Mix the applesauce with the chopped almonds and add about 2 tablespoons to each pan. Using an empty pan, cut out eight lids from the remaining dough. Brush the edges of the dough with cold water, place the lids on the filled pans, and press down. Bake the pans in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 20-30 minutes. While the tarts are still hot, loosen the edges with a knife, but let them cool completely in the pans. Dust the tarts with powdered sugar before serving.
